I think that the salaries people receive is too little for the daily expenses they have, especially for young people. A lot of my peers from school are from remote cities in other provinces. The salary they receive from getting an internship in a big city is not enough to cover their rent for the few months they're there, nor does it leave them a lot of savings after they've paid their expenses. Few people receive proper compensation for the jobs they perform.

The housing market has been inflating at an incredibly fast rate these past years, and this makes it inaccessible for young people who are just starting out, or middle- to lower-class families to afford a place to live.

Either salaries need to go up to compensate for the hike in housing prices or living expenses, rent, etc. needs to go down. Something needs to change.
