1. Future Friendly Schools already exist... They are called UWCs

   12 UWCs (previously United World Colleges) exist around the world with the mission to unite peoples, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. 138 countries with national committees have selection processes to choose the best and brightest students from those countries to attend these 12 colleges around the world where environmental stewardship, student voice and active citizenship form the core of learning. Community is at the heart of the schools and due to the selection process, schools welcome students from a variety of countries and socioeconomic backgrounds. 4 students live together in a room and all students live and learn together for a minimum of two years. Through Creativity, Action and Service projects, Project Weeks, Global citizenship projects, students are chosen to attend some of the strongest institutions in the world and become leaders in their own field. 2. Cultural diversity on campus, student societies,

   As an undergrad student in the United Kingdom,

   I could name a few factors that clearly indicate a more diversified cultural environment. I should firstly emphasise on the political dimension, since it was the laws & regulation policies of this particular state that allowed students from all across the world to study in the United Kingdom, thus broadening their horizons and being able to pursue their dreams. Secondly, it was globalisation itself, since it incentives young folks to travel around and explore new shores. Thirdly, I'd argue that the creation of a public sphere, a forum, where many cultures can meet up and scrutinise and debate, also perhaps thoroughly analyse their culture, compare & contrast it, many prejudices and social stereotypes ( for e.g. ) would surely be removed, thus a more egalitarian approach will be taken. There is no room for
   racism, judgments toward people or a person because of gender, social class, age, disability, religion, sexuality, race/ethnicity, language, nationality in a global citizenship. Everyone should be treated equally, something that still needs improvement.
   Another relevant indicator would be, the way the international students are encouraged to participate in this public sphere? How do we increase this awareness? How do we convince them, that they have nothing to lose in involving themselves in the social process / activity ? Their voices will be heard and their views acknowledged. Not everyone can express themselves as clearly as the other perhaps? Students need to be enlightened, mainly thorugh education, to know what steps to take in life.

   A future friendly school is not an utopian concept, it is through cooperation and mutual understanding that a global citizenship can be achieved. Key factors: trust, initiative & perseverance.

3. Not just focusing on academics and giving the child to grow his space and mind in other acitivities can be a part of Future Friendly School

   The child will be happy to grow as an individual and be more practical in real life if he/she isn't being dominated by the society to be efficient only in the field of academics. The child must be allowed to grow his horizon as per his/her will. And hence, it will act as a great opportunity for India to grow as a whole.

4. Every child under six MUST have access to early childhood education

   Almost 300 million children under six lack access to releasing their creativity, increase their skills as natural born researchers and explorers if we do not assure them access to an education that allows those forces to rise up.

5. The motivation of educaiton should be public!

   The word 'education' inherits the spirit of real education. The Latin word 'ēducātiō ' (A breeding, a bringing up, a rearing) came from ēdūcō (“I educate, I train”) which is related to the homonym ēdūcō (“I lead forth, I take out; I raise up, I erect”) from ē- (“from, out of”) and dūcō (“I lead, I conduct”). So to lead, to contact, to train, to develop person should be first public minded that selfless. The education need to set up the mission that all students can overcome the selfishness! Selfishness is a roots of all conflict, unrest and suffering in personal level, family level and society level. However the education system needs to create environment that one can grow up with confidence and devotion with objective view and motivation instead that of subjective. However education motivation should be life and joy oriented that one person can lead a ideal life with mind and body unity, ideal family life with husband and wife unity and ideal societal life with unconditional serving interaction. However the eternal truth is 'person is the center of the world, civilization even center of universe', so along with professional skill education should emphasis on 'character building and human values development'.

   History is generally understood by young people, as this boring academic chore required of them by the education system.
   The intent and purpose of the curriculum in teaching history, is to cultivate the relevancy of the past to the present, thereby preparing students in what provides them with the awareness of continuity.
   Because of such a low level of interest for history among students, a new approach could be tried. Instead of academically bringing the past to the present, why not equip each student with what is needed to explore the past, starting from their own personal present.
   By bringing the students to explore what brought about their own life, it will generate an ability for the in-depth look to understand their present, it will gradually connect their lives with the past and thereby will eliminate the irrelevancy. This method would motivate by inspiring as opposed to force-feeding the memory for the sake of the curriculum.
   Because of the state of the age which we live in locally and globally, anyone with noble concerns for education is aware of the massive need to heal the individual identity’s growth process, by tuning in the dynamics of inter-personal activity with reconciliation and co-operation. History of the whole human race is screaming to remind us of that.
   It doesn’t make much sense to teenagers to learn that their parents, teachers and governments are going on repeating history without any alternative being offered other than: “You live in the best country on earth, so don’t complain”, type of response.
   If the history curriculum were to bring together the sciences relevant to the healing of history such as sociology, psychology and all the way to psycho-neuro immunology, they could pave a path to develop the method from play school on, with the parents and child, and set the relevancy so as to bridge school solidly with home life.
   History classes would then become a time in school when one is given a chance to assemble the components of his or her existence, where one learns to assimilate each life experience in a maturing perspective of his or her life. It would develop the rationality from understanding the path of their own life and identity. By entering history in such a personal manner, school would evolve to provide a forum for the apprenticeship of communicating in the comfort of intimacy and in the confidence of trust.

   It would gradually lead the “I am” of each student into the relevancy between their life and the flow of history in the riverbed of time.
   Such a method could even become key to open the doors of the community, reaching out through the cultural and social walls of divisions, by entering the dimension where academic and practice find trust and harmony with each other. In practical terms, it would be the neutral ground to bridge and to complete the distance and the incompatibilities between home and community life.
   This approach also provides the opportunity to embark on a massive research and development movement into the human faculty of living. The faculty of living is the holy grail aimed at by all people of good will through out humanity’s history. It is the initial and final frontier of knowledge for the solemn beauty of being human to emerge. The faculty of living is what brings each individual to be penetrated and to penetrate the meaning of existence while providing guidance and nourishment to live in the state of justice, peace and joy.
   Historically, this faculty has been painfully growing through millenniums of dark, fearful and evil resistance on the part of those who hold on to knowledge, intellectually acquired, as opposed to spiritually acquired knowledge. Such resistance is present in all human beings and is responsible for the perpetuation of the never-ending power struggle and misery among humanity.
   The faculty of living is the healthy state of spiritual human living in all that it means and separated apart from all the lies that it never meant and yet, that are still upheld today in various forms.
   Destiny has designed Canada for our citizenship to express the solemn beauty of being human. This is, after all, what the ancient voice of humanity’s youth has been longing for throughout the ages, feeding and reverberating the growth of common sense.
   Yes, the history curriculum can indeed become a safe and yet potent tool for the authorities to cultivate our individual and collective growth into the stability of well-being.
   Given the good will and blessings enjoyed in Alberta and Canada, we could attain to the point where we begin the process to harness the lessons of the past and learn to live, with great contagion, in the solemn beauty of being human, cheered on by the ancient voice of humanity’s youth and enjoyed in the health of common sense.

9. Use of corporal punishment like caning in schools should be stopped because it discourages peacefull learning environment.

   There is alot of corporal punishment in schools especially primary in developing world where caning,digging etc is a form of punishment.This should stop.

    Student Voice must be the medium through which students from schools around the world tackle real world issues around environmental, political, and social issues pertaining to global citizenship. 16. One Curriculam, Only specialization

    I believe there should only be one course curriculam, currently in different parts of worlds different syllabus is followed. Personally i believe the education from the junio level should only include relevant subjects such as there should not be any geographic etc. subjects when some one is not interested to study theme. I believe in specialization. New syllabus should be based on specialization from 8th grade or onward, there is no need to study 10 or bundle of subjects in a semester or year. Students should be given choice to select their field of study and they should totally study that subject whether it contans 6 or 8 books to broaden their knowledge.
